Annette Ferdinandsen handcrafts 10k yellow gold into rows of eucalyptus leaves. They stack in descending size along a branch to create a long, hanging earring whose form seems amorphous. These are favorites!
earrings total length 2 5/8"
gold eucalptus drops measure 28mm x 49mm
earwires 14k yellow gold
Working from her upstate New York studio, Annette Ferdinandsen's handcrafted organic creations are influenced by nature, her travels and surroundings. Her father and grandfather were both model makers for renowned Danish sculptors. Ferdinandsen followed her lineage and attended the Rhode Island School of Design studying sculpture. This background in sculpture has influenced how important form is in her work...subtle curves and movements are signatures of her pieces. An interesting side fact, Annette was David and Ron's, the designers behind Ten Thousand Things, first employee over 20 years ago.
